ENDOWMENT

The Canadian Opera Company has been a vital part of the Toronto arts community for generations. Sustained artistic excellence over the long-term requires visionary supporters who take the long view and support the Canadian Opera Foundation.

Established in 1986, the Foundation invests gifts it receives and makes annual grants to support COC programs. By pooling donations and investing them, the Foundation is able to provide ongoing annual support, protecting the COC from short term economic pressures, while also re-investing part of the income generated from donations to account for inflation over time. Our deepest gratitude to our current Canadian Opera Foundation donors.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned giving is making the decision today to provide for the COC's future.

From creating an in-life trust to including the COC in your will—a planned gift allows you to make a significant statement of support, often unlocking greater income while securing significant tax benefits.

These can include gifts of bequests, retirement funds, stocks and securities, gifts-in-kind, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, gifts of residual interest and life insurance.

The Encore Legacy

Donors who contribute through a planned gift or make a provision for the COC in their estate plans become members of the Encore Legacy.

Membership includes lifetime acknowledgement in COC publications, as well access to special events exclusively tailored to legacy supporters.
