We started our year off with some of the best voices in the opera world for the Canadian premiere of Richard Strauss’ Arabella…


…and we served a dollop of feel-good romantic comedy with Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love!


Then, in the winter we sparked conversations and reflection with our line-up of Verdi’s Rigoletto and Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio.

With The Nightingale and Other Short Fables we introduced Robert Lepage’s unique back-to-basics, jaw-dropping stage magic to some for the first time…  

…while reuniting long-time opera-goers with this visionary work almost a decade after its world premiere.


And our triumphant closer, Anna Bolena, brought audiences to their feet with a spectacular cast, led by the phenomenal force of nature that is Sondra Radvanovsky.
