With our fall season only weeks away, we've compiled a list of some of the most popular pieces from our COC1819 operas, to help prepare you for what you can expect to hear. Now take a seat, relax and whet your opera appetite with a sample from each of our upcoming six operas.

EUGENE ONEGIN | Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Letter Scene: "Puskai pogibnu ya" ("Let me perish")
Tatyana stays awake all night composing a letter to Onegin in which she pours out her love for him.

    HADRIAN | Rufus Wainwright
    Entr'acte
This music transitions us from Act I to Act II of Hadrian. Upbeat, energetic dance music sets the atmosphere for the "Robigalia," the Ancient Roman agriculture festival.

    ELEKTRA | Richard Strauss
    Aria: "Allein!" ("Alone")
Elektra relives the horror of her father’s murder and entertains the fever dream of an even more gruesome revenge against the perpetrators: her mother and her mother’s lover.

COSÌ FAN TUTTE | Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Trio: "Soave sia il vento" ("Gentle be the breeze")
Sisters Fiordiligi and Dorabella bid farewell to their fiancés, Guglielmo and Ferrando, who are ostensibly leaving for military duty.

    LA BOHÈME | Giacomo Puccini
Aria: "Si mi chiamano, Mimì" ("Yes, they call me Mimì")
Mimì describes to Rodolfo how she lives in a small room, works as a sewer of silk flowers, and anticipates with joy the coming of spring, when real flowers will blossom.

    OTELLO | Giuseppe Verdi
    Iago's "Credo" ("I believe")
Iago declares his chilling “Credo,” a belief that he was born of a cruel God and that he destined to do evil.
