Opera Makers: Activities for Young Creatives
Digital Video Series
Opera Makers: Activities for Young Creatives is a series of quick-bite videos for young people (ages 7-12) to explore and try their hand at all the art forms that make up opera. Led by the Canadian Opera Company's acclaimed teaching artists, topics range from singing and composing to movement and design.

Opera Makers: In Partnership with Sistema Toronto
Weekly from September 22 to December 8, 2020
Teaching artists from Sistema and the COC are collaborating on weekly online workshops for Sistema Toronto students as part of their regular online music education. Sistema is a leading organization that enacts transformative social change by providing free musical and educational opportunities to children in underserved communities.
Weekly from October 7 to December 16, 2020
Teaching artists from the COC are collaborating in weekly online workshops with students from the West Neighbourhood House Toronto Music School. Participants will create their own operas, rooted in the spirit of co-creation through hands-on activities that explore every element of an opera, from storytelling and composition, to performance and design.
