From their latest Netflix binge to testing new recipes to establishing a work-from-home routine, they’ll share what keeps them grounded and entertained.

Reading Real Books

Reading is a passion at the best of times but I read on a Kindle and almost exclusively on the TTC and in restaurants so it’s been actually really nice to catch up on physical books. I just finished The Nightingale’s Sonata by Thomas Wolf. It’s the story of his grandmother, a very famous violinist from Russia during the early part of the 20th century.

Arts and Crafts

I’ve gone back to childhood! Colouring and doing some stenciling on the walls of the house, and even some sewing!

Porch Concerts

My neighbour is a bass player so we’re working on some violin and bass duets that we hope to play on our front porches (staying more than six feet apart for sure!) when the weather improves a bit, hoping the neighbours can hear and enjoy them.

Virtual Cooking Class

I’ve started cooking with friends and family remotely, including some familiar faces from the COC Orchestra. For our first session, we made Pad Thai! (Thank you to COC Orchestra First Violinist Dominique Laplante for taking this image of us all!)
